Mr. BlueCap,
Producer, composer, songwriter Mr. BlueCap – born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands – is a true storyteller. His music currently reaches listeners in more than 50 countries around the world and is available on Spotify, YouTube, and all other major streaming platforms.
As a former scriptwriter / filmproducer and novelist, his work often relates to feature film projects and in many songs he refers to historical events or persons. For instance ‘The street of St. John’ tells the story of Erasmus, the song ‘The politician, a liar’ refers to the biggest financial fraude worldwide of the 19th century, and ‘A loss beyond words’ is based on the MH17 Malaysia Airlines air crash / shotdown.
Mr. BlueCap prefers to create songs on guitar and always writes his own lyrics.
The uplifting song ‘I’m an artist, I create’ is directly based on the work and goals of the Youngblood Foundation – Youngblood Africa, arts & culture development.
After reading the information on their website and being inspired by the various artist videos, he immediately started working on the song, trying to capture the spirit of true creativity and pay tribute to the efforts and achievements of their gallery in the center of Cape Town.
The vintage jazz song ‘Mr. James Gilmore’ represents the feature film project of the same name. A compelling social drama full of humor and music for a worldwide audience.
